Ping monitoring reference

Overview

Ping monitoring check if the target host reply to the ICMP echo request. This is the simplest network test you can do. Some firewalled host block ICMP echo request, you have to allow them.

The test will send 4 requests at 3sec interval, if at least one reply reach the server, the test will succeed.

Description

This is the name of the service.

Host

This is the host name or the IP address of the target server.
